“You can’t buy me love” by the Beatles was number one and the UK was emerging from one of the coldest winters since the 1700’s but 30 March 1964 was about to go down in Karn family history for a completely different reason.
In the quiet rural church of Bodiam – nestled amongst the trees and very much in the shadow of it’s more famous castle, Gwen and Alan tied the knot and started their special journey together.
As the following selection of pictures from the day shows, the fresh faced 23 year old and his 21 year old bride were the picture of happiness even in the black and white photography of the day!
